Noodle box & Chinese burger is a Chinese Xi’an specialty restaurant located in Newcastle Market, UK. This restaurant mainly sells Chinese specialties based on noodles.
Mr. Xu is from Xi’an, China, who is the owner of Noodle box & Chinese burger. ‘I ’ve been in the UK for more than a decade, and this restaurant opened at the end of 2018. Now Noodle box & Chinese burger is the only restaurant in Newcastle that sells Xian food. In addition, I grew up in Xi’an, and I know more about Xi’an noodles, and I can make the most authentic Xi’an food,’ Mr. Xu said.
Mr. Xu said, ‘Xi’an cuisine is mainly based on flour. These noodles are all handmade. Compared to machine-made noodles, handmade noodles are more delicious.’
Xiaoyu is a Chinese student who ate at Noodle box & Chinese burger. He said, ‘Noodles are delicious and authentic.’
Mr. Xu introduced the Xi’an special food of Noodle box & Chinese burger in the interview. ‘Like Chinese burger, Biangbiang noodle and Saozi noodle, these are all loved by customers.’
Mr. Xu introduced the history of Biangbiang noodle. ‘Biangbiang noodle is a traditional flavored pasta in Guanzhong, Shaanxi. It was named because the noodles fell on the chopping board and made a sound of “biangbiang” when making noodles. It was also named because the noodles were similar in shape, width, and width to trousers. According to legend, in ancient times, a poor show in Longdong passed Xianyang when rushing to take the test. Because of hunger, he entered a small shop and ordered a bowl of hot and spicy “biangbiang noodles”. The word “biangbiang” came to the noodles, which led to the “biangbiang noodles”.’
‘Xi’an food is very popular in China. Although it is hard and time-consuming to make pasta by hand every day, I am proud to see customers who eat my own pasta. After all, this is also a kind of cultural promotion. I hope that the local people in Newcastle will like Xi’an food, and I also hope that Chinese students have a feeling of returning to China when eating Xian food,’ Mr.Xu said.
